Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is widely used to treat respiratory tract infections, skin infections (like severe acne], dental infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases. It is also used as a malaria preventive.
Used to treat bacterial pneumonia, acne vulgaris, cholera, chlamydia, Lyme disease, and for malaria prophylaxis.
Broad antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and atypical pathogens like Mycoplasma and Chlamydia.
Inhibits protein synthesis by binding reversibly to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms, preventing tRNA binding.
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light.
Always swallow the capsule sitting upright with a full glass of water. Do not take it just before going to sleep.
